Jacob Goehring
Jacob Goehring is an associate attorney to Christopher Schwartz. Jacob has been with
Chris Schwartz since June 2010 and has provided exceptional legal representation to clients at
the Schwartz Law Firm. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Jacob moved to Alabama at a young age
where he attended Trinity Presbyterian High School in Montgomery before attending
Birmingham-Southern College in 2001 in Birmingham, Alabama. Jacob was an active member of Sigma
Alpha Epsilon, holding many offices within the fraternity throughout his college experience.
Jacob graduated in the Birmingham-Southern College honors program with a B.A. in political
science in 2005. Upon graduation, Jacob returned to Montgomery where he worked at Balch &
Bingham LLP as a messenger and research assistant as he prepared to attend law school at the
University of Alabama.
In 2006, Jacob was awarded a partial academic scholarship to attend the University of
Alabama School of Law. In law school, Jacob participated in mock trials, moot court
competitions, and intramural athletics. Following graduation in May 2009, Jacob moved to
Baton Rouge and prepared for the Louisiana state bar. Despite zero experience with
the “Louisiana Code”, Jacob passed the bar on his first attempt. In 2010, Jacob worked at the
Louisiana state senate where he continues to work on a part-time basis as an attorney within the
senate’s “legislative bureau” where he is responsible for reviewing and amending state bills.
Upon his arrival at the Schwartz Law Firm in June 2010, Jacob immediately immersed himself
in the practice of full-time plaintiff’s work for the firm.
Hardworking and straight-forward, Jacob is a no-nonsense attorney who works hard to
represent the right of his clients. Despite his young age, Jacob is an aggressive and able litigator
and serves as a great compliment to the one-on-one personal attention for which Christopher
Schwartz is famous for.
Personally, Jacob enjoys sports, music, travel, and being with friends and family. Jacob’s
parents continue to reside in Montgomery, Alabama, while his younger sister lives abroad in
Germany and his younger brother lives in Chicago, Illinois.
